As a kind of new composite fiberglass reinforced material, FRP is developed atthe beginning of the20th centuries abroad. It has various advantages such as lightweight, high strength, anti-corrosion, heat preservation, insulation and sound-proofingetc. And it had been widely used in electricity, transportation, construction, sports andmany other frontiers. Recently, with the increasing demand of fiberglass plastics indomestic, many machinery manufacturers start researching on FRP equipments.This essay summarizes the current situation and level of FRP equipments athome and abroad, analysizes the working conditions of production line and itsautomatic control technology, developes a automation control system on FRPpultrusion line. This system is artificial intelligent which has many functions such as:debugging/operation mode, manual/automatic working status, intelligent temperaturecontrol, input/output condition monitoring, parameter real-time display etc.It hadalready solved some problems of the control system on former production line andwill be used in the area of the manufacturing of FRP pultrusion line in the future,which will improve companies’ comprehensive strength in competition at the sametime.The main contents of this essay are:(1)Study the structure of automatic control system of FRP production line;Analyze the problems existing in the control system on production line; Illustrate therequirement of control system by the production technology; Establish the controlscheme of the whole system. With materials of PLC and technologies of touch screen(programmable terminal), servo motor, servo driver, rotary encoder,it can form aclosed loop control system, which can make the control precision of the systembecome higher.(2)Study the servo-motor drive technology of automatic control system andstepper motor control technology of the FRP line; Design the servo drive system; Usethe servo motor+ball screw transmission way to replace the traditional hydraulictransmission way, and to ensure the feasibility of the speed adjustments.(3)Study the design of hardware of the whole control system and PLC program structure; Use PID control algorithm to achieve the temperature control of thepultrusion machine; Write the PLC programs of each parts on the line.(4)Study the design method of touch screen (programmable terminal) to realizethe terminal control of the whole production line. Use the terminal program to achievereal-time monitoring of each parameters of the whole production line; Providereference of the occurrence and troubleshooting of fault alarm to make the equipmentmore humanized.
