Research On Pharmacy Trusteeship Based On The Rrincipal-agent Theory

Pharmacy Trusteeship, as one of the new "Medical Reform" pilot initiatives, is designed to solve the problem that medical treatment is difficult and expensive for the masses. It is being closely watched in the earliest time of its establishment. The meaning of Pharmacy Trusteeship is that the hospital commissioned a pharmaceutical company to be its agent operators, but the ownership of the pharmacy hasn’t changed. It just gives the proxy to the pharmaceutical company. As a result, it separates the ownership and the management of the pharmacy which, to a certain extent, has promoted "the separation between the medical treatment and the medicine". However, with the implementation of the Pharmacy Trusteeship, its operation process has revealed some problems, such as drug addition, the delay of medicine supply, and so on. All of these have lead to the influence of the maximum experimental purposes. The aim of this thesis is, form the perspective of Economics, to study on the mode of pharmacy trusteeship and to find out the solution of the problems. On the basis of this thesis, the author hopes to offer the theoretical method of the pharmacy trusteeship and to improve the applicability of drugstore trusteeship. The purpose of this thesis is to promote the new medical reform process.Pharmacy Trusteeship was a concept of management. If we place it in the field of economics to analysis, we will find that the Pharmacy Trusteeship is based on the theory of Entrusted Agency. The hospital is the entrusting party while the pharmaceutical company is the agent. According to the model of the Entrusted Agency, and under the supervision of the hospital, we can establish an economic model with the character of the Pharmacy Trusteeship. By analyzing the model, we can easily get their income distribution ratio, which is under the market mechanism. And by contrasting the badly maladjusted distribution radio to the fact, we can reveal the main reason of the failure of the pharmacy trusteeship is that its income proportion is too high. In the light of this fact, I will put forward the constructive suggestions. The most important suggestion of these is the introduction of the reasonable trigger mechanism. This mechanism can make the pharmaceutical companies supervise themselves so that the hospital and the pharmaceutical company can supervise each other, promote each other. It has explained that, with the development of the theory, the mode of Pharmacy Trusteeship can improve itself by the construction of the social system, the Justice, and its own theory system. And finally, it will achieve the goal of promoting "the separation between the medical treatment and the medicine" and standard the field of the medicine. I think it will lay a solid foundation for the Reform of Medical System, make the reform falls to the real point, and, as a result, create interest for the broad masses of the people.
