In recent years,the rotary floating crane,which is used to heavy lift and, has increased rapidly accompany with the development of water engineering. new design methods and design technicals for the rotary floating crane has started to come up because the traditional design method cannot meet the requirements of customers. Since the20th century, computer technology is blazingly fast. And it is combined perfectly with the mechanics, applied mathematics and graphics, on the platform large hoisting machinery research has also made a lot of substantial development. However, the machinery design method is still mostly used static design such as in the rotary floating cranes, and it is not well considered the dynamic effect, often take the experience method to select dynamic load coefficient to consider the influence of dynamic loading in the design process. At present the effective method to solve the problem is to use the virtual prototype technology. First, we can use the computer to set up the crane virtual prototyping model. Then simulating all kinds of different working conditions of the rotary floating crane structure system, so it can more real analysis in the process of operation in the crane all kinds of mechanical parameters, so as to realize the comprehensive analysis of the mechanical motion to consider the purpose.With the actual project the600t floating crane as background, this paper bases on the technique of virtual prototype and adopts the method of Rigid-Flexible multiply model to solve the complex system of the rotary floating crane with utilizing software platform of SolidWorks, ADAMS and ANSYS. Through simulating the different conditions of the rotary floating crane under the conditions that load and running state changes with time, getting the simulation date which closely linked with the practical prototype. Also, by the contrast with the consequence that achieved by conventional method, it verifies the result of the application of this technology in the crane design. This paper mainly research the following aspects:(1) Rigid-Flexible coupling virtual prototype modeling technology research about the rotary floating crane. With Rigid-Flexible coupling dynamics theory as foundation, using three-dimensional entity modeling software, finite element analysis software ANSYS and dynamics analysis software ADAMS establish rigid body, flexible body of Marine deck cranes,and Rigid-Flexible coupling model.(2) The dynamic characteristics and load research about the rotary floating crane. Using multibody system dynamics theory, establishes agencies dynamic model of the Marine deck cranes and calculation crane machine structure under different conditions to get dynamic load which each agency operates produced.(3) The structural dynamics simulation about the rotary floating crane in typical operation modes.In short, it is a complex and difficult task to introduce the virtual prototype technology in ocean engineering crane equipment and combine perfectly the computer simulation technology with the crane equipment together. This research results in this respect for the future to a deeper level of research to provide certain reference value.
