With the development of science and technology and the trends of economic globalization, the munufacturing sector has lots of opportunities for development, but competition within the industry become more intense. Lifting products are widely used in many areas of the national economy, excellet survived and poor out. Those survived enterprises in fierce competition are always reforming design pattern vigorously and optimizing their products. The maket is changed all the time, the traditional physical prototype design pattern which spend much time, money and human resources can not meet the neeed of maket economy. Virtual prototype technology has many advantages itself, such as less input and more output. In the design process of lifting products, using virtual prototype technology we can simulate real working conditions of crane reality and get different test parameters to guide the reality of product design and manufacturing. Virtual prototype technology has greatly improved the pattern of manufacturing product design, shorten the design cycle, reduced the capital investment and optimized the product design.Virtual prototyping technology has a broad application prospects. The main jobs are:Firstly, review the concept, characteristics and development status of virtual prototyping technology, the focus is the research of crane virtual prototype at home and abroad.Secondly, as QD50t type of bridge crane as the research object, I build its three-dimensional model in Pro/Engineer, and add the constraints on the model in accordance with the actual working conditions.Then, focus on researching the kinematics and dynamics characteristics of the crane; analysis the start and brake process of the hoisting mechanism, the car and cart mechanism.Finally, in the ADAMS simulation environment, achieve the joint motion simulation of the hoisting mechanism, the car and cart mechanism; at last, an effective test data is received. You can see, virtual prototype technology used in crane design is effective, it is a powerful tool and implementational method of designing an economical, reliable and stable crane system.
