Tower Crane is the main lifting equipment for high-rise building, Tower crane's reasonable-design and production will have a decisive impact to the frequency of use and Life. In relative to the actual machine crane, virtual Prototyping have a distinct advantage in the economic, security and other aspects. The use of this issue can be achieved on the tower crane virtual prototype simulation, for tower crane design and development to provide technical support, has a higher theoretical and practical value, and improve the economic efficiency of enterprises well.This paper bases on the technique of virtual prototype and utilizes software platform of SOLIDWORKS, ADAMS and ANSYS to establish three-dimensional digitized virtual prototype of tower crane and systematically do its analysis of dynamics emulation of multi-body system. The main contents include:(1) Take Shanxi Engineering Machinery C6013 tower crane for example, using SOLIDWORKS software to establish the tower crane's body,tower crane arm,balanced arm,rotating platforms and other structural body. And import the virtual prototyping model to ADAMS, using the binding library and force libraries completely. In accordance with the actual use of the constraint and load, to establish its presence in the ADAMS virtual prototyping environment;(2) Using the ANSYS software, establish the boom and lasso of tower crane's finite element model, and export the two modal neutral file. We can use the interface between the two parts, take the modal neutral file into ADAMS software.(3) Application of dynamic simulation software ADAMS, set up its virtual prototype model of rigid-flexible coupling, imposed from the corresponding impact load, obtain the kinematic changes in parts of the model. (4) In considering the role of the machine under the load combination, obtain the time-varying components of laws. And on this basis of lifting mechanism, competed coefficient with the norms recommended by comparison and analysis, note the influence of the structure in the design of dynamic load.In a word, the virtual prototype study of tower crane is a trial that apply advanced design, analysis and simulation techniques in design of tower crane and offers efficient method to design tower crane that is economic, credible, stable and high performance.
