Chinese culture system reform has been rapidly accelerated so that more and more new reformatory strategies come out. In 2009, the collapse of China National News became the first case which is caused by poor management. It marks the fact that Chinese newspapers are currently facing the vigorous competition related to their'life and death'. This thesis, based on the modern management theory of the comprehensive salary incentive theory, firstly did the literature review on the salary incentive and the employee performance. And then summarized 18 factors composed to the total press salary. Further more, it systematically analyzed the employee performance influenced by the comprehensive salary incentive in order to take good advantage of the human capital and improve the press competitiveness.The empirical study selected presses from Guangzhou, Changsha and Lanzhou as samples. Using the questionnaires, it acquired the basic data of satisfaction in the press comprehensive salary incentive and the employee performance in the recent 3 years. It concluded from the correlation analysis and regression analysis that 6 salary incentive factors have significant influences on the employee performance. They are: royalty, additional payment, working condition, working enviroment, working diversity and interesting, management authorization and participation. Finally, through the independent variable sample t-test and variance analysis, it shows that the variances of employee's gender, age, education, situation and company types all have significant variability on the 6 salary incentive factors.The research concluded that the press could improve the performances through the following 4 ways. Firstly, establish the comprehensive salary incentive concept. Secondly, take the royalty as the major part of the basic salary and the additional payment as the bonus incentive. So as to meet with the employee's heath care needs. Thirdly, apply the working environment incentive as afford excellent office condition, implement the quality incentive as enhance the working diversity and interesting, focus on the individual growth incentive as management authorization and participation. At last, individually apply some certain salary incentive according to the speciality.
