Bridge crane occupies an important position in lifting transportation industry which hasbeen widely used in many industries.The finite element analysis software has been widely used as a design tool. ANSYS isone of them, which has powerful sub-modules of reliability analysis, can be used forreliability analysis of varieties of models. However, using ANSYS for reliability analysisneeds to spend a lot of time to establish geometric model, input a variety of parameters, mesh,etc. And users with a lot of professional knowledge can use skillfully. Especially for a seriesof bridge crane girder, it is necessary to repeatedly modeling and processing, which greatlyreduces the working efficiency.In view of the above questions, affirming the related random variable and its distributiontype of girder of the bridge crane, determining the element type, loading method and the wayof constraints have been done according to the structure of the box girder of bridge crane andits mechanical characteristics. The reliability analysis software for bridge crane girder hasbeen developed which is designed with Visual C++programming software basedsub-modules of ANSYS.It has function of data input, automatically generated models,relability analysis, processing results and it’s call, ect.The bridge crane girder reliability analysis software was used for a certain type of bridgecrane girders for reliability analysis. Then the main girder was obtained reliability ofhorizontal, vertical direction of the maximum displacement and maximum equivalent stress ina specific range. What’s more, analyzing the sensitive factors influencing the reliability, theeffect and degree of influence factors was obtained. Examples prove that the bridge cranegirder reliability analysis system has friendly interface, simplicity of operator, significantlyhigher working efficiency, model can be generated automatically, and analysis results arecredible. Meanwhile this study provides a feasible method for bridge crane reliability analysis.Also provides a reference for other similar product reliability analysis.
