ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) is the combination of the management functions of sales, purchasing, manufacturing, costing, accounting, service and quality control. It can follow the market requirements; optimize the internal and external resources to eliminate the invalid labor or resources in enterprise operation. It integrates the material flow, cash flow and information flow to improve the enterprise competence. Based on network and information technology, focusing on planning and controlling, it's the advanced enterprise management methods and tools to manage the supply chain.ERP introduces the advanced management software to automate the enterprise's daily operation, more importantly it's the revolution of traditional enterprise management way. It can make the management more reasonable and effective to dramatically improve the enterprise operation result; therefore BPR (Business Process Reengineering) is the precondition of successful ERP implementation. BPR is the thorough rethinking and redesign of enterprise business processes to dramatically improve the efficiency in costing, quality controlling, service and reaction speed. The ERP implementation in national nonwovens manufacturing industry started lately at the low level with the poor understanding of ERP system, and currently the major ERP suppliers did not provide the good solution or practice for nonwovens manufacturing industry, normally the project success depends on the consultant experience. In many cases, since the employee of nonwovens manufacturing company have the poor ERP knowledge, cannot fully understand the complex concept of famous ERP products, so they just copy the ERP procedures, or they just ask the tailor-made product from some national small-medium sized ERP suppliers. All these cases lost the advanced management methods, they cannot get the expected result. Therefore the nonwovens manufacturing enterprises urgently need a systematic approach to optimize business processes and organizational structure, so that the enterprise can get the biggest profit at the smallest cost, with the daily business running, and the enterprises competence can be improved at all.Based on the above analysis, business process modeling with the BPR concept can analyze the existing situation and make the corresponding simulation evaluation, quantitative and qualitative analysis, to optimize business process, finally help the nonwovens manufacturing industry to improve the enterprises competence.Based on the characteristics of the nonwovens manufacturing enterprise, this paper use the ARIS modeling method as the tool for business process reengineering, to make the ERP systems can really help the enterprises to improve management level and the enterprises competence. This paper takes one nonwovens manufacturing company as example, define and optimize the business process by making full use of different views in ARIS, make the company target as the starting point of whole modeling process, including business target, business structure, business function and business process. Considering the current situation of logistic, sales, purchasing and production function, this paper describe the business process modeling with the target diagram, value-added chain diagram, function tree and eEPC modeling. Through the case study of a nonwovens manufacturing company, the new department Supply Chain Management is established after analyzing the business target and structure. Then starting from the target of Supply Chain Management, according to the sequence of target, structure, function and process, by the method of from top to bottom and decomposing the levels, the procedure of enterprise modeling is described to benefit the success of ERP implementation.
