Design And Development Of Embedded Military Portable Terminal System Based On ARM9

This thesis introduces the design and development of embedded Military Portable Terminal system based on ARM9 which is for improving ability of equipment maintain.Based on the experience of working in maintain and repair department, this paper preliminary study the design and development of embedded Military Portable Terminal system by analyzing the trends at home and aboard.In order to meet the demands of Military Portable Terminal,this paper designed the Windows CE operation system based on Samsung S3C2440,built the corresponding hardware and software platform.The terminal system is portable and design for individual.It is not only capable of study, search the guidance of equipment,but also providing repair suggestions for damaged equipment. It is benefit for users to develop plans, improve operation and increase rapair ability. So the terminal system is the important part of improving ability of equipment maintain under the information warfare.This thesis includes the following aspects:1. The status of Military Portable Terminal at home and aboard is introduced at first.The conceptions and characteristics of embedded system are interpreted.The embedded processor and embedded operating system are introduced briefly.2. In order to meet the demands of Military Portable Terminal such as low cost,small volume and dependable performance,this paper designed the hardware platform with Samsung S3C2440 chip,the software platform with Windows CE operating system.3. Based on the performance structure of the S3C2440 chip,found the whole frame of system hardware platform and divide functional module.According to the system performance,finish the design of hardware platform.4. Set up the development environment of Windows CE operation system.The Windows CE operation system kernel is customized and transplanted.Application programs for Military Portable Terminal system are complied and modified.After being test,it has been proved that both the hardware and software function properly.5. Finally,the main research conclusion is summarized.The prospect of further reach work is also made.
