In recent years, earthquake, fire and other disasters continued to occur, especially in the2008WenChuan earthquake, it caused the collapse of numerous homes and tens of thousands of people trapped in the disaster. In the rescue process, the rescue workers usually had no access to disaster site’s conditions and could not take fast and efficient rescue operations which caused massive casualties and property losses. In response to these circumstances, this thesis design and implemented a portable rescue positioning system based on large-scale disaster scene. It could read the relevant information from the sensor nodes at disaster scene, through analysis and calculation, and get rescue personnel’s location information, then displays to the rescue workers. The terminal system is small, light weight, easy to be used and carried. It was a powerful tool for the rescue personnel carrying efficient rescue.The innovation and the main results of this thesis are as follows:Built the hardware platform of portable Rescue Positioning System, designed the system’s circuit according to the actual function of need, and completed the circuit board production. The system used a Samsung ARM9processor S3C2440as a core control chip, expanded external memory such as SDRAM, FLASH and so on, and added the LCD, USB, serial and other peripheral circuitry to meet the display, human-computer interaction, data communication and other functions required.Studied Windows CE operating system with friendly interface and powerful features and transplanted this operating system to hardware platform of the Rescue Positioning System. Completed BSP package development based on specific hardware platform and operating system customization, and designed a personalized Shell interface to make the it more simple and beautiful.Studied wireless sensor network positioning technology, combined with the practical application requirements, selected the appropriate WSN localization algorithms and realized it on the positioning system’s platform. Developed a serial port and the WSN positioning applications, and added the algorithm selection, the node settings, map reading, status display and other functions to facilitate the rescue workers to use.The completed circuit board of the rescue portable positioning device is simple, small, light weight, and stable. Customized Windows CE operating system has good performance and can meet the application requirements. System interface is simple, beautiful, and easy to be used. Location-based applications can achieve the rescue workers’self-localization in general indoor environment, and display the information with a graphical interface, which has achieved the original design requirements.
