In recent years, modern information technology and the embedded computer technology has been widely adopted in the aviation industry, which has dramatically promoted the proficiency of the intelligence, digitalization and informatization of modern aero planes, which makes higher demands of errors of instrument diagnosis, management and repairing. The BIT set on the airborne electronic devices, for improving the functions of automatic detection, isolation, supervision and alerting problems, has also been problems of low diagnostic arm and high level of BIT false-alarm rate. In addition, complication and technology of airborne electronic devices has been calling for full-round technical proficiency of technicians. Without enough experts’participation, it will lead to error diagnosis, decreasing of repairing rate, furthermore, influence over the whole device. For this,we studied a new Windows CE-based interactive maintenance equipment used in the aviation industry.Based on the problems and difficulties encountered in the aircraft diagnosis and maintenance,this thesis has designed a device which is based on S3C2440microprocessor and Win CE6.0embedded operating system.With the functions of achieving fault information of the data acquisition,data storage,human-computer interaction and serial communication, it can a good alternative to replace the current devices which based on usual computers.One of the biggest advantages is the integration of the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), which provides digital maintenance procedures,charts and procedures for fault diagnosis and localization. Through network the fault information can be exchanged between the repair site and the control department by the device. You can greatly improve maintenance efficiency and save lots of time.This article takes the design of embedded systems as the main line.After discussed the system’s selection and composition,it describes how to build the system’hardware platform and software platform designed in detail.In the hardware, the overall structure was first introduced and then each component module and circuit design was described; In software design, Windows CE operating system was adopted, and then it describes the detailed steps of cutting and custom the Windows CE.This paper introduces the Windows CE’kernel transplant process,and then mainly describes the serial ports and LCD/touch screen driver design; In the application process design,the developed steps of Windows CE applications on the platform of VS2005was studied.After finishing the design of the embedded system, we made a full test for the modules of software and hardware.The experiment has concluded that—this kind of portable maintenance aid (PMA) can mostly enhance the maintenance efficiency, dealing of errors, and be user-friendly.
