Gather the information of household electricity consumption through public low-voltage power line. Report the collected data to the computers of property management corporation by Ethernet for calculation. Achieve the goals of centralized storage, unified management. Greatly improve the management level and economic efficiency of the property management sector and utility governmental function departments. Achieve unified billing, unified revenue and energy management automation of the whole society.The whole thesis consists of 5 parts: 1, introduce the background and trend of the intelligent meter reading system; 2. present the whole scheme on the basis of the system's fundamental function analysis; 3. briefly introduce the general design and the process of the design; 4, specifically introduce the course of design in details of the system including the design of the Modular data packet and database; 5, introduce the development tool and the realization of the core code. At last, a brief conclusion of the work and presumption of the latter work.Practical test indicates: the intelligent meter reading system can realize the collection, storage, display, and transformation of the utility data. For its reliable operation, it can be popularized to the fields of practical applications.
