Analog-digital conversion circuit (ADC) as the interface of the analog and digital circuit, has been widely used in radar, communications, electronic countermeasures, image, sonar, satellites, missiles, control systems, medical, instrumentation and other fields. Successive approximation register ADC (SAR ADC) has been widely used as its low-power, high-resolution, high accuracy, as well as small size.In this paper, A 10-bit ADC has been designed using a standard of 0.18μm CMOS technology. The structure of ADC includes three parts:comparator, DAC and digital logic control. In which the DAC is based on charge redistribution configration. The circuit schematic together with layout was drawn by Cadence EDA tools. Through the simulation of each part of the circuit, the simulation results shows that the structure of the ADC can meet the requirements of 10-bit precision, When a 1.8V supply voltage is applied, the power consumption is only 156.82μW as the sample rates reached 1Msps, The area of the layout is 37μm×40μm, The article achieved the design target for low-power requirements, have certain practical value.
