With a development trend of consumption concept towards rich variety and convenience, the demand for fresh products, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, see foods, dairy products is increasing year by year. Statistics show that cold chain logistics in our country has two mainly problems. The loss of our cold chain is much higher than that of international standards and the food safety accidents happen very often, which give evidence of the fact that a dissatisfactory quality control leads directly to a lagged development of cold chain logistics behind social demand. Studies show that a well-established temperature monitoring system is the key for quality control of cold chain logistics. However, the failures of synchronous temperature monitoring and data analysis are the current situation and the greatest obstacle of the cold-chain temperature monitoring, which is still in lack of a systematic research and solution. Nevertheless, once the synchronous temperature management is realized, the punitive loss will be greatly decreased, food safety guarantee wiil be improved, and an enormous economic interest and social benefits will be generated. In this paper, several methods are discussed and analyzed to solve the problem of synchronous temperature management. Firstly, targeting at this problem in cold chain logistics, hardware and software methods are simultaneously used to propose a synchronous temperature monitoring system in RFID cold chain logistics, which achieve real-time temperature monitoring and data analysis separately. Then, three methods of temperature monitoring are compared, and only RFID technology works in temperature monitoring; methods of data mining are discussed, which show that the algorithm of outlier detection is better adapt for RFID cold chain data processing. The quick outlier detection algorithm (QOD) is designed and optimized, backed up by RFID technology and outlier mining methods. Furthermore, proved by experimental results, the algorithm (QOD) bears great advantage over other algorithms in aspect of efficiency, accuracy and quick response. The future of synchronous temperature management research in RFID cold chain is prospected at last.
