As the continuous development and application of FPGA technology, it not only make the electronic design scale and integeration keep on increasing,but also bring new eletronoc system design methodology and thinking. Or even a new generation of FPGA integrates the central processing unit(CPU) or digital processor (DSP) core,that provide strong support for realization of system on programmable chip.SOPC is proposed as a flexible cost-effectve SOC solution by Altera Corporation. The paper finished the microwave velocity-measuring system design based on SOPC. the system has many advantages,such as real-time,cost-effectve,small size and so on.This paper at first focuses on the principle of the data-processing of the system. And then design the two key modules of the system—FFT module and embedded system module.we design the two modules in only one FPGA chip. The FFT IP core,control module and buffered module make up the FFT module,among the three,FFT IP core is the most important part;NiosⅡembedded systems based on CPU soft-core. In accordance with the actual,we add some other key modules, such as memory module,FFT interface module,communication module and so on. The functions of the system are triggered by the interruptions, including the interruptions of CAN bus and the FFT module, so the paper also give the relevant interrupt service routines and the flow charts.After repeated testing ,the results show that the system can achieve the purpose of initial velocity measurement.
