As the revolution of microelectronic technology and the development of computer architecture theory, the embedded technique get new progress constantly. The system on programmable chip based on FPGA and NiosⅡis noticed by many designer because of its advantage and characteristic such as flexible, cuttable, software and hardware programmable.FIR filter is one of the basic algorithms for digital signal processing, and is used in acoustic processing and image processing area widely. Considering with the different implementation of FIR filters, SOPC technology is a new way to implement it. In this paper, an audio development platform which takes Altera Corporation's CycloneⅡseries——EP2C35 as the core chip is designed, and it takes TLV320AIC23 which is made by TI Corporation as an audio chip. It contains FPGA core, audio module, memory module, configuration module, communication interface module, and so on. Based on this platform, the hardware and software design process of SOPC system are research in-depth. This solution of FIR filter, which base on SOPC can make use of the FPGA's merits on digital signal processing. The filter is designed by FDATool of Matlab, combining with QuartusⅡ, implement receiving, A /D conversion, D /A conversion, filtering and replaying of audio signal successfully. The development platform also set aside part of the expandable interface, and lay a foundation for applications in different area in the future.
