Evaluation System Based On The Overall Quality Of University Teachers

It has very important practical significance to raise the level of higher school education through establishing the scientific and rational evaluation index system for university teachers and evaluating the comprehensive quality of university teachers objectively and accurately. Based on the analysis of some university teacher's comprehensive evaluation researches both at home and abroad,and the views of the development of network information technology,the thesis provides a Web-based evaluation discussion for the university teacher's comprehensive quality.Firstly,the thesis addresses the meaning,characteristics,the principle as well as the significance of university teachers evaluating. The comprehensive quality of university teachers can be defined and described from the moral quality,professional quality,individual quality,academic quality and innovation quality. And secondly,based on the analysis of a number of advanced ideas and experiences of some university,the thesis establishes a scientific,standardized,comprehensive evaluation index system for the overall quality of university teachers,and uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the index weights. And third,based on the reviews the development of Web technology the thesis provides a basic Web-based university teacher comprehensive quality evaluation system framework,the system design principles and objectives,and analyzes of the various systems functional modules detailed. Finally,the thesis points out the constraints factors and prospects of the evaluation system from the views of development and application.Through the study,it will deepen our understanding of the evaluation for the university teachers,improve the practice of university teachers evaluation,help to design and develop the university teachers performance evaluation management information systems,and not only be benefit for the establishment of a scientific and standard teacher targets management system,ensure the improvement of university teachers'political and business quality,but also to promote the teaching and the science research quality of the university teachers to a higher level,and at the same time,it can provide a scientific basis decision-making for university leaderships through the comprehensive evaluation objectively and impartially.
