Research On The Quality Evaluation Of University Library's Collection Based On Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method

In recent years,although the domestic library community has begun to conduct research on the evaluation of collections,most of the research is based on quantitative evaluation,and less on the quality of collections.So far,there are no guidance documents such as special standards and evaluation criteria for the evaluation of library collection quality,and it is impossible to systematically guide the library to carry out collection quality evaluation.The construction of collection resources is the core of the work of university libraries,and its quality directly affects the service of library readers.The quality and level of the collection books are affected and restricted by many factors,and must be scientifically evaluated in order to optimize and adjust the collection construction in a timely manner according to the evaluation results.How to evaluate the quality of library collections in colleges and universities and improve the quality of collections is the focus of this paper.Collection evaluation is one of the important contents of library resource construction.It is not only the end of the previous business cycle in the process of resource construction,but also the starting point of the next business cycle.Therefore,carrying out collection evaluation is a necessary part of the collection construction work.Not only does it have a role in the long-term construction of the collection resources,but also through the collection evaluation,the collection resources can be continuously updated.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter focuses on the research background and significance,methods and contents of this paper,and the current research progress on the quality of university libraries and their collections at home and abroad and the innovation of this research;It mainly introduces the theoretical basis of this research,including the definition of related concepts of library quality,the principle and implementation steps of analytic hierarchy process,the concept,principle and implementation steps of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The third chapter is the university book based on analytic hierarchy process.The quality evaluation system of the collection is built.The judgment matrix is constructed by distributing the importance degree questionnaire to the experts,and the weight vector of each index is calculated.The fourth chapter is based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for the empirical study of the quality of the library collection of the university library.The quality of the collection is the research object.The readers are investigated through the questionnaire survey method,and the survey data is fuzzy calculated and analyzed.The total score of the library collection quality of Shandong University Library is obtained,and the strategies and suggestions for improving the quality of the library collection of Shandong University Library are proposed.Chapter 5,Summary and Outlook,summarizing the work and deficiencies of this study,Further research in this field point out directions.This paper mainly achieves the following results:Based on the analytic hierarchy process,the evaluation index system of college library collection quality is constructed.The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to analyze the survey data,and the score of the library quality of Shandong University Library is 71.46,which is in general and Good between.In view of the insufficiency of the quality of its collections,it proposes suggestions and countermeasures for the improvement of the collection of books,the use of collections,the updating of collections and the needs of readers.At present,the research on the quality evaluation of collections in China is based on the work experience,and the research methods are mostly discussed in theory.Few evaluation methods are applied to the practice of collection evaluation.At the same time,there are few literatures on the summary of process information such as the use principle and evaluation details of specific evaluation methods,most of which are biased towards subjective analysis and lack of scientific quantitative research.Moreover,the research on evaluation methods is limited to theoretical or small-scale practice and does not have sufficient representativeness.Therefore,this article will evaluate the quality of library collections in colleges and universities.Based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),the evaluation index system is constructed,and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to analyze the survey results.It is expected to evaluate the quality of the library collection in a more systematic and accurate way,and provide a direction for the research of library library quality evaluation.
