| SLA (Service Level Agreement) is a legal agreement between service provider and its customer, aiming to gurantee the QoS (Quality of Service) and the reliability of the service, claim the rights and duties of the partners involved in the document. SLA presents a stardard interface between the two sides, through which they can exchange information, to reach a consensus about the servie, ensures the service provided by the service provider satisfy the need of customers more easily, and the customer are more likely to accept the service. The deployment of SLA makes the deviding between the transport networks be unifying to IP and the service upon this network more smoothly, and ensures the deviding of works between different service providers. This dissertation will first talk about the stardards of SLA, then analyse the main structure of the project–"SLA oriented network managing system", the duty and position of"Device management module". Then it analyses the main theory and techniques involved in the designing of this module, both passive and active network probing methods, talks about the advantages and disadvantages of every methods. After that it gives the realization of the module given the demands and constrants in this system based on the theories and technologies analysed previously, then it gives the data analysis of the module. This dissertation also explores the network resources allocation scheme based on the real demands of SLA, analyses main algorithms and architects of network resources allocation that already exsit, describes the short comings of these algorithms when facing the popular utilization of SLA. The previous researches and realization of devices managing lays a good foundation for the further researches of network resources allocation, especially the knowledge of the ratio of the interfaces and links attached. In another hand, a badly need for network resources alloction researching comes up as the wide popularity of SLA. How to satisfy the SLA, how to allocate resources for example bandwidth to meet the quality of service (QoS) declared in the SLA document, becomes a emergency and difficult issue. In this paper we claim that network resources allocation scheme based on economic price competition theory that originally used to solving the problem in economy field, might be the best way to solving the problem of QoS assurance of SLA. In this paper we present a new algorithm based on price competition, that is CPRASE: Congestion Pricing based Resources Allocation Scheme at Edge point, explains the main ideas of this scheme, how this scheme decreases the complexity of previous similar algorithms, how it does not need the users involve in the allocation process, for example adapt the price changed in the network because of congestion. Since it's not the main goal of our project and due to the time limits, this paper does not give every detail of the scheme. |
