Phase-locked loop technology is one of the most important methods to realize frequency source with high performance. Meanwhile, DRVCO is applied to PLL frequency source widely because of its high quality value and low phase noise. In this paper, phase-locked loop and DRVCO technologies are researched deeply. The detailed work includes:1. The working theory and basic circuit composing of phase-locked loop are briefly introduced, and the phase noise contribution made by parts of PLL system is also analyzed particularly.2. A 4.2GHz PLL frequency source was designed with ADIsimPLL software, and the effect of loop bandwidth in phase noise was analyzed. Then, the hardware circuit was fabricated and debugged, and the testing results met the requirement of some radar system in application.3. After studying the theory of DRO, a DRVCO was designed and simulated with Serenade8.71 software from Ansoft company. Then, the hardware circuit of a Ku-band DRVCO was fabricated and debugged, and the testing results met the requirement of some radar system in application. |
