The thesis is to study and realize X—band Phase-Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (PLDRO), the main work are summarized as follows:1,Dielectric Resonator(DR) and the basic applications of the circuit are introduced. The theory of several types of dielectric resonator oscillators is discussed. The shunt feedback medium oscillator circuit structure is chosen to take this experiment's designa circuit. The amplification circuit and the feedback network are independent in this structure, so it's very easy to design and fabricate such a oscillator.2,The design of voltage controlled dielectric resonator oscillator including three parts is discussed. First is to simulate voltage controlled dielectric resonator oscillator by using CST Microwave the Studio simulation software, including electric circuit's simulation and length change microstrip line and oscillator coupling simulation. Second is the microstrip line terminal load varactor. Frequency influence of change bias voltage of varactor to oscilation equivalent in the one of microstrip line length change to oscilation. Third is to use the copper wire and the resonator three-dimensional coupling to raise the high pressure to control the medium oscillator's frequency tuning range.3,Based on the ADF4107 chip, I have carried on the design to the phase-locked loop, including ring circuit filter's design, ring circuit band width choice and ADF4107 frequency division ratio determination.4,The blockage medium oscillator is debug and tested. The result is: there is a fixed frequency output in X wave band 30MHz scope, The phase noise achieves the request of the project application, and the design is successful.
