University Library Decision Support System

With the information speeding up and the wide spread application of database technology and MIS, the data quantity of the university library suddenly increases, and the contradiction is more and more prominent between the data rapid increase and analysis methods. The DSS based on the data warehouse and OLAP analysis can solve the existing contradiction between of the huge data and the data analysis methods through the establishment data warehouse and carries on the OLAP analysis. We can open the new way for the library application through applying these technology in the university library decision-making, thus we can display the information resource greatest value.This article proposed the establishment of the university library DSS mentality based the data warehouse, and comprehensively studied the design method of the data warehouse establish and the analysis method of OLAP. The university library data warehouse has been established simply and the data quality is under the active control ; and the OLAP analysis model has been constructed and has been carried on the multi-dimensional analysis to the existing data resources.
