Application Study Of Data Warehouse And OLAP Technology On The Military Communication Conductor System

At present, the technology of computer has been widely used in the military communication. With the wide use of analysis system of military commanding communication the data will be getting larger and larger and the data center will accumulate a great deal of data about military commanding communication as well. Because of the complication of enquire situation, data redundancy and interlace of data and the diversity of requirement, a new system is very urgent to be needed. It should have the functions such as reorganizing the data and flexibility for querying and online analysis. This is also the reason why we study the application of the technology of data warehouse and OLAP in the system of military commanding communication.A data warehouse is a subject-oriented, integrated, time-variant, and nonvolatile collection of data in support of management's decisions making process. OLAP is an important tool which is widely used in decision making systems based on data warehouses. It takes advantage of the multi-dimensional views of data, and can effectively solve those problems with multi-factors and multi-hierarchies. In order to use the present data of the computer effectively and to achieve the proper analysis of the data the OLAP system is developed based on the technology of data warehouse. This system can solve the above problems and at the same time the result of data enquiry provides the basis for the manager's decisions.This thesis firstly dwells on the concept of data warehouse and OLAP. Then, it focuses on the need in the system and gives description and the technical process of it. Based on the need of the system, this thesis discusses the design and implement of military commanding communication system from hardware structure, software platform and function modules, etc. At the same time, it discusses two data marts, communication personal and equipment, and it also discuses the design details of multidimensional schema. Finally it presents the implement of the military commanding communication system by OLAP multidimensional analysis technology, etc.Finally, it gives the summary and makes an expectation of the future work.
