This paper is about how to design and realize the electronic traffic police management system based on the data warehouse. It studied how to realize the each step in the data warehouse realization, and how to model in the data warehouse, and about how to extract-translate-load in the data. With next, about the OLAP is also researched and discussed, specifically completes the work as follows.First, Reviewed the domestic and foreign research of the data warehouse at present situation, and analyzed the questions what possibly exists. After that, the meaning of the data warehouse was elaborated, and contrasted difference and relation of it with the traditional database and data mart. Then the present popular two models was contrast analyzed, and detailed explained their virtue and vicious, and give the reason why use the method in this paper. In the view of the OLAP part, researched and analyzed the rationale which involves in view of this paper, and designed the system frame about research and its actual demand. With involving the management model in this paper, it was give research model about the data warehouse and what it need rationale theory. Then give the process about how to concrete modeling, and also pointed how to analysis correlative the view selection. Then make the arithmetic improved in order to enhance the velocity in this system. After the data warehouse was constructed completes, as an important part, introduced how to save the data in the limited space, and how to analysis the magnanimous data. And then, give a friendly interface in order to face the operators. At last, the work about this paper was summarized, and point out the studied direction in the future.
