Web-based Tooling, Rapid Preparation Technology

The competition predominance in manufacturing industry has been changed from cost and quality to time based on given cost and quality. The manufacturing mode has been changed also. Specialized cooperative design and manufacturing based on network is the development trend of manufacturing. According to a research project named GuanZhong networked manufacturing system, computer aided design system with the style of application service provider was established and studied in the dissertation. Moreover, the whole plan and key technology was studied.The computer aided design system based on ASP was the integrated idea of CAD and ASP, which will promote the network design. In this dissertation, ASP_CAD system structure and prototype were developed in browser/server mode under CATIA based on SOCKET, JSP, VRML and so on.This dissertation will have application value in networked design and manufacturing in some area or special trade of our nation.
