Pdm Implementation Of Its Integrated Technology Research

To enhance the capacity of competition, improve the product quality and shorten the product development time, many corporations come to emphasize the application of Product Data Management (PDM). According to the rapid development of PDM technology, the PDM implication in the industry company is a more important area. For the requirement to manage the product engineering information on the manufacturing department level, the research work on the application of PDM is detailed in the thesis. The author focuses on the key issue of applying PDM as following: 1. The whole procedure and approach to implement PDM system in the manufacturing department are firstly described. An object-oriented process information model is constructed for the whole life cycle of product. Based on the corresponding relation between the PDM data model and the object-oriented process information model, the structure, security model and version model of the manufacturing process information are outlined in the thesis. 2. Analyzing the data processing method o~ PDM system, the author adopts the technique of data release and accepting in PDM system to solve the problem of communication between the design research institute and the manufacturing company by the way of INTRANET or disk. 3. The information integration and exchange technology are also highlighted on the base of PDM, especially the integration of process information between PDM and CAPP system.
