Research & Development On The Manufacturing Process Information System (MPIS) In The Web Environment

Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) is an important part of CMS and it has formed a data bridge of product's designing and manufacturing. Developing convenient and fast MPIS, which could provide effective tool for the process planning, is the key for enterprise to reduce cost, improve economic benefits and market competition.Along with the development and application of computer technology, network and integration have become the developing trend of process-information management. Based on the analyzing about the present status, a MPIS in Web environment is established in the paper.According to the demand analysis, the B/S model structure of MPIS is put up firstly. The IDEFO and IDEF1x methods are used to complete the module's dividing and designing of MPIS. Following the analysis about the characteristics of Web database, SQL Server is adopted to create MPIS's database.MPIS is divided into many modules, which are independent to each other in functions. Therefore it is beneficial to the management, maintenance and improvement of MPIS.The complicate modules are progressed detailed design. Based on the optimizing theory, the complex method is introduced to realize cutting parameter's optimizing. And it is approved that the complex method has achieved the optimizing objection by instance. In the module of operational-dimension calculating, the process dimension equation is adopted, which successfully completes the dimension chain's finding and calculating. This method is simple, convenient and avoidable to the complex dimension chain's finding and calculating.
