Product data management system(PDM) is taking software as the foundation,and managing all of product information( include the electronics text file, document, database record...etc.),with related process of product technology.It provides the information management of the product whole life cycle, and can build up a collaborating environment for the scope of business enterprise .This paper developed and studied the Product Design Process Management System for ZhongLian Corporation. First, Requirement and enterprise background of ZhongLian Corporation is analyzed. The general framework and functions of PDM system are described and also analyzed indetail in this paper, due into the PDM technology background.Second, the business enterprise leads the technique background that manages the system into the product data management, include the PDM basic concept, PDM development process, carry out the product data management system theories foundation. The paper is involving the database technique, client and server technology, theories foundation with deliver the technique, object management model, solving problem from the technique valuation. Based on basic characters of object-oriented of PDM system, model of product data in the process of product design is built.Finally, the paper face to the business enterprise at design the management in the process problem, put forward the PDM system function analysis and design, the implement method, total structure and object model of the item. The PDM conduct and actions management software, so need business process and management modes of concern the business enterprise system function design.Through the implementation and application, PDM provids enterprise to carry out the key strategic decision and information management method, more important leads business enterprise to management principle and mode, raise the whole management level of the business enterprise.
