Hq-pdm System Framework For The Establishment And The Implementation Of The Functional Modules

Product data management(PDM) technique is the integration flat of canying out Concurrent Engineering and CIMS, is the bridge of information communication among every departments in an enterprise. Through managing and controlling data information of products, PDM can shorten the cycle of design and manufacture,can improve the quality and reduce the cost of products, so PDM technique has been put into practice by more and more enterprises This article analyzes the basic functions of PDM system, and gives a plan of developing a system named HQ-PDM, which has the general functions. The actual tasks researched and finished in the article include: 1. Create the data vaults keeping the security and consistency of files and build the system database, finish the building of system frame. 2. Build the access model of system data and finish the module of document management. 3. Building the operation model of life cycle management, solve the realize of different operation of life cycle, the system can offer life cycle management of files. 4. Put forward three module about version management, define the rules, finish the version management function. 5. Using UG as example, solve HQ-PDM system to read information of assembly structure from CAD system, realize the integration between HQ-PDM system and CAD system. 6. Through building product assembly tree to solve the arrangement relation of assemblys and subassemblys,finish the building and management of BOM.
