The Current Rudder Dac For A Low-power 10 Design And Implementation | Posted on:2012-06-08 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Z Xia | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2208330335498283 | Subject:IC Engineering | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | A general introduction on study of digital-to-analog converter (DAC) domestically and internationally is presented. Principle and typical structures of DAC are analyzed.A low power-consumption 10-bit current steering digital-to-analog converter is fabricated. In order to achieve good dynamic behavior, fragmentation has been introduced. The device is operated in 7-bit unary,3-bit binary-weighted mode. The current steering DAC has been integrated in SMIC 0.18 um 1P6M Mixed-Signal CMOS process. The simulation results have shown that it has a output swing of±320mV, with load of 500 Ohm. The full scale range current is 640uA. The DAC has a typical power consumption of 4.73mW and SFDR of 56.59dB under the frequency of 100MHz. The measured integral and differential nonlinearity performances are±0.3LSB and±0.27LSB separately. The size of the die is 1.38mm×0.36mm. | Keywords/Search Tags: | mixed signal IC, digital-to-analog converter, fragmentation, thermometer-code, current-steering | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
