The fluid flow balance of complex transmission and distribution piping system is the technical of the fluid machinery. The automatic flow control valves utilize the hight-accuracy spring and complex channels impacting each other to control the flow of outputing invariably,so it has became the key to the balance of fluid flow. Now t automatic flow control valve is demanded largely in short order. The competition of cost, price and quality is more and more drastic in the market these days. In order to strive for more market shares, it's necessary for each corporation to walk out a customized and developing road. As a result, it's quite urgent and essential for us to develop the high quality automatic flow control valves and to open out a customized CAD/CAM system for the special products by using universal CAD software with powerful function.In this paper, UG NX 4.0 software is chosen as the supporting platform. With the Compiler environment of Visual C++6.0, the author fulfilled the development CAD system of the automatic flow control valves which meets the need of market.The main research contents are as following:(1) On the basis of analysis on structure and performance of automatic flow control valves at home and abroad, and also a lot of experiments, the author has succeeded in developing automatic flow control valve with 2 series, 21 different dimensions. Meanwhile, the author has designed 7 kinds of valve core with different dimensions. The reason why automatic flow control valve can fully meet the requirement of the flux balance of the actual engineering is that the author chooses and matches the central parts and combines valve core and body.(2) The techniques related to secondary development based on UG are thoroughly studied here, which mainly include: UG/Open program language development technique, UG/Open user interface development technique, and the connection between user interface and user functions; On the basis of these techniques, the methods and the whole process of constructing product library system based on UGH is put forward.(3) The system design plan of the rapid development CAD system of the automatic flow control valves is brought forward using the software engineering method. Based on the analysis of each module's characteristics and requests, different developmentapproaches are put forward to different modules.(4) The author set up three-dimensional entity model base for every part of productA, the model base mainly includes model base for conventional part (Valve body,lid,Rubber O-ring……), model base for central part (through-flow capå'ŒSpring) ,assembling drawing base and planar engineering drawing base, which can help to realize the high-efficiency development for automatic flow control valve.(5) The designing of User interface and the founding of application programming and dynamic link library are discussed in detail through examples. Some key technical problems encountered in each module of the rapid development CAD system of automatic flow control valve s are solved. Finally the application of the rapid development CAD system of automatic flow control valves are introduced through user menu.
