In this paper, based on analysis and compare of the second developing tools the AutoCAD2000 has supplied, through characteristic of plastic product of the plastic injection molding and achievement of the high-power of the system running, the 3D Feature-Based modeling of plastic product system was developed by integrating VC++ 6.0 with ObjectARX2000 on the platform of theAutoCAD2000.Based on analysis and compare of all kinds of precept-sorting of feature of plastic product for the different structural plastic product, a 3D feature library of plastic product was built on the platform by integrating Feature-Modeling technique with parametric technique. The feature schleps its information of non-geometry by database-externed technique of the entity. After building the database of plastic material, the module of choice of plastic material is developed by technology of ODBC. The plastic product can be sculpted by calling of feature of plastic product and inputting parameters interactively. The general information-model of plastic product can be created by integrating 3D entity with its information. A user-friendly visual special interface is customized on the basis of the interface of AutoCAD2000. At last, an actual process of the , modeling of plastic product is demonstrated.The general information-model of plastic product is very important for development of molding part of mould. What's more, it lay a definite foundation for the integration of CAD/CAM/CAE/CAPP of injection mould. Therefore there are some value of reference and application for development of mould owing to the work of this paper.
