With the rapid development of science and technology, the living standard of human is improved continuously. Because of the lifestyle changing, cardiovascular disease incidence increased year by year. Coronary heart disease caused by cardiovascular stenosis has become one of the main diseases endangering human life and health. In recent years the interventional therapy method has the advantages of simple operation, small trauma, quick postoperative recover, and the good treatment effect, which has become a preferential choice for the majority of patients and medical staff to the cerebrovascular diseases.At present, the study on interventional stent is mainly focused on the structural design, manufacturing, mechanical performance analysis and testing, and design of the individual vascular stents. However, it is not sufficient to study 3D parametric modeling of coronary stents for selection. Now, doctors select a stent based on the lesion angiography and experience, which can not only guarantee accuracy but also the inheriting of the knowledge. Therefore, it is very meaningful to study the selection of coronary stents. Due to the three-dimensional parametric design is a basis of research for the selection of stents, it is very important to study the three-dimensional parametric design of coronary stents.Visual C++, as a development tool, and combined with the modeling kernel Open CASCADE, the study in this thesis is concentrated on the three-dimensional modeling of coronary stents, which realizes the function of parametric modeling respectively to build arbitrarily parametric models and standard models. To develop the system, first, the Open CASCADE application framework based on Visual C++is created, which is the 3D development environment. Then, parameter setting dialog-box created is used to control parameters of the stent in size. According to the structure of the stent, the Classes of modeling module in Open CASCADE are used to buid the model of the stent, which will be loaded into 3D display. The design of the standard stents is realized in this system. When creating a certain type of stents, the system calls stent parameter information from database, which stored types of standard stents and key parameters, and loads it into parameters module which is provided for user to input parameters. Then a standard model of the stent is created and displayed. Finally, the system provides function of data exchange interface for users.
