Research On Learning Plan-guided Teaching Practice In Secondary Technical School Mathematics

At present, the secondary technical schools, which once “chose only a student in a hundred” but “refuse nobody” today, have successively carried out a teaching mode reform,but in secondary technical school mathematical teaching, most mathematics teachers still adopt the traditional “expository” teaching, lack of professional pertinence. This model of teaching has seriously hindered the development of secondary technical school students’ various abilities, affecting the formation of their mathematical literacy. The major issues researched in this paper include the introduction of middle school learning plan-guided teaching method, the appropriate modification of this method according to secondary technical school teaching characteristics, the application of this modified method in class, and the effect of its application. Different from regular senior secondary school teaching, the secondary technical school mathematical learning plan-guided teaching studied in this paper is aimed at introducing a new teaching model that puts stress on secondary technical school students’ actual situation, conforms to their psychological and physiological characteristics,helps cultivate secondary technical school students’ self-learning ability, gives classroom back to students and returns learning initiative to them according to secondary technical schools’ mathematical teaching objectives and school characteristics, students’ real situation,and mathematics’ features and professional features.This paper first surveyed the current teaching status of teachers, the present learning situation of students, and the state quo of teaching materials and class hours at five colleges in Handan City. The survey result revealed the following problems that nowadays, the secondary technical school teachers generally had backward teaching concepts and used backward teaching models, the students lacked a solid foundation and a good habit of mathematics learning, the teaching materials weren’t combined with the majors, and the class hours were insufficient; then, in accordance with the above problems, the paper made a detailed discussion on secondary technical school learning plan guidance’s characteristics, compilation principles, basic compilation steps, and implementation procedures, finally giving learning cases; next, with Class 5 and 6, Grade 2014 of our school as an experimental object, the paper conducted a questionnaire survey and compared pretest scores and posttest scores to verify the effect of learning plan-guided teaching on improving secondary technical school students’ mathematical performance, and developing their self-learning ability, mathematics learning interest and mathematics learning habit, and carried out a statistical and comparative analysis on the experimental result; finally, the paper drew a research conclusion and made a reflection.The teaching practice indicated that after the implementation of mathematical learning plan-guided teaching with secondary technical school characteristics in one semester, the study interest of most students was raised, their learning habit was gradually developed, and their self-study ability, mathematical performance as well as practical ability were greatly improved, suggesting that secondary technical mathematical learning plan-guided teaching could be carried out effectively and popularized in secondary technical schools.
