School-based curriculum, an indispensable part of curriculum plan, is an important supplement for the national curriculum and local curriculum. It reflects the feature of school’s teaching work, as well. Consequently, school-based curriculum development has caused more and more attention in technical schools, and played an important role in professional teaching status. School-based curriculum development basically includes four elements: the Course Setting, Choice of Course Contents, Compilation of Textbook, Teaching Methods and Evaluation means. This paper elaborates the research background, purpose and the definition of related concepts about school-based curriculum. It also analyzes the problem in mathematics curriculum of numerical control (NC) major in technical school. Based on the survey results of NC major students and teachers, this paper does research work and identifies the reform direction of mathematics courses serving for the professional courses. For the specific situation, under the “employment-oriented, competency-based” background, this paper puts forward the following opinions of the school-based mathematics curriculum development of NC major:(1)Make the course orientation clear;(2)Teaching should be “for the purpose of application, for the degree of necessity and sufficiency”;(3)Improve teaching content and adjust the content sequence;(4)Adopt flexible teaching methods and means;(5)Implement the diversification of students’ evaluation. At the end, this paper makes a validity analysis for the school-based mathematics curriculum of NC major and also lists the achievements and foresights of the reform effect. This paper is expected to play its role to make full use of the research work of other mathematics teachers and professional teachers so as to improve the research on school-based mathematics curriculum of the NC major.
