The comparison of teaching materials has long been a hot topic in educational research.This paper studies and selects two editions of mathematics textbooks commonly used in technical schools,namely,Mathematics 2013 and Mathematics2018 published by China Labor Social Security Press.Using the content analysis method and the comparison method,combined with the interview of the three first-line teachers,the paper makes a comparative study on the two editions of the teaching materials with the function content as the breakthrough point.From the macro and micro angles,the commonness and differences of the two editions in the aspects of overall characteristics,content selection and arrangement,content presentation,content breadth and depth,and requirements for students are obtained.Macroscopically,the 2018 edition of the textbook is longer and the number of functions is more,focusing on "the basic properties of functions" and "logarithmic functions ".The textbook pays more attention to the consolidation of knowledge and sets up a unit for Comprehensive example Analysis.The 2013 edition of the textbook each chapter space distribution is more balanced,the column setting is richer.The two editions of the textbook are basically the same in the order of content arrangement,and generally adopt the order of "the concept of function and the property of representing—— function —— power function —— exponential function —— logarithmic function" order.Microscopically,there are great differences in the content presentation of the two editions of teaching materials.Compared with the concept introduction mode of the 2013 edition of the textbook,the 2018 edition of the textbook is mostly imported from the life example,paying attention to the introduction before the concept,and paying attention to the setting of the problem situation.In terms of the breadth and depth of the content,the 2018 edition of the textbook contains more knowledge points,wider breadth and deeper depth;the number of exercises in the textbook is 25% more than that in the 2013 edition,and its problem label category is richer and the pattern is more complete.However,in the application of mathematical concepts,there are many problems in the use of examples and charts in the two editions of textbooks,which can not fully reflect the practicability of mathematics.Based on the interview of three first-line teachers,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the compilation and teaching of mathematics teaching materials in technical schools from the aspects of knowledge connection,example and reading materials: strengthening the internal connection of mathematics knowledge points in teaching materials;combining more practical life with mathematics concepts to enhance practicability;improving the readability of examples in teaching materials;setting up more flexible and rich reading materials;and improving teachers' ability to excavate the cultural connotation of reading materials.
