With the development of computer application technology and network technology, web-based informationization has been started in a number of areas of health care. The blood information management is one of the important research areas. Based on the universal use of early independent blood information management system, researchers began to study web-based integrated blood information management mode in order to build the unified scalable regional blood information management.This paper is based on the geographical broad distribution mode of the PASS Blood Bank Management System in more than 300 cities and the Regional Convergence Network Architecture--PassSTU. It studies how to construct a unified and scalable Regional Blood Information Management Collaboration Platform on network, integrate Blood Information Management System distributed in different region on network and realize the sharing, unified management and allocation of resource, to facilitate regional statistics and related medical research. The research results have very important academic and application value and they also have very broad application prospects.LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is used in this paper to construct the system framework model of Regional Blood Information Management Collaboration Platform that constitutes Terminal System Layer, Data Convergence Layer and Region Convergence Layer; Terminal System Layer captures and manages basic data; Data Convergence Layer converges different information from the blood banks belonged to it, makes statistics and analysis and meets and need of the Region Convergence Layer; Region Convergence Layer manages the Data Convergence Layer, makes unified management and allocation, achieves higher level statistics, builds data warehouse and does medical researches based on the it. SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) component model and Web Service are used to design the general tier framework model on each layer of Regional Blood Information Management Collaboration Platform. The general tier framework model consists of Base Tier, Component Tier, Service Tier, Configuration Tier, and Application Tier. Base Tier consists of information processing, interaction protocols and communication language; Component Tier contains modules that generates applications; Service Tier provides a common set of services to Configuration Tier and Application Tier; Configuration Tier provides a set of common tools associated with the applications of Application Tier to form a fully functional suite of applications; Application Tier contains all application requirement from different roles and users with different permissions. At last, the paper puts an emphasis on the description of blood information management and blood borrowing-lending mechanism on the platform. Regional Blood Information Management Collaboration Platform centrally stores the blood source information in the nodes of Data Convergence Layer to unified manage the blood source information belonging to that region. When blood borrowing-lending is needed, Regional Blood Information Management Collaboration Platform ensures the accuracy and efficiency of the blood information between the call in and call out blood institutes to optimize the blood borrowing-lending procedure.
