Injection mold cooling system is an important component of the injection mold, and at the same time in the design process it is the most cumbersome. With the analysis and research for injection mold design of the cooling system, this paper adopt the application of the good operation of the user interaction, relational design, interference checking and adjustment, which can solve the injection mold cooling system of rapid design and consistency of maintenance issues.This paper introduced the basic structure of injection mold and the basis structure of the injection mold CAD system, catch demand analysis of the cooling of the injection mold CAD system according to the injection mold cooling system commonly used form, and choose NX4.0 as CAD development platform, using UG/OPEN and other technology as system development.In this paper, read and write database in the injection mold cooling system with ODBC technology, using the parameters of UG related technology, WAVE related technology, UDO related technology to achieve the relevance of the system design.Injection molding cooling system is mainly composed of general form of the cooling loop and the special form of cooling loop in two parts. On the general form of the cooling circuit, the author used a good user interaction modalities and parameters of the feature-based modeling method, realizing the dynamic creation of cooling water, and related technology and using WAVE & UDO technology, cooling water and with the corresponding series of cooling Standard Parts (plug, plumbing fittings, seals, etc.) associated design to ensure that the design consistency. At the same time parameters of the design techniques used to achieve the cooling water of interference checking and automatic adjustment functions. The other form of special circuit, the author also used a friendly user interface design and related technologies to facilitate the creation of the special form of the cooling loop.Based on the above study, the author developed the injection mold cooling CAD system, in the practical application of the engineering staff to save duplicate operating time, reduces design workload, which have greatly increased design efficiency. In addition, the author also summarizes the paper and provides useful advice for the improvement of the system.
