Plastic products has been widely used in daily commodity, such as household appliances and automobile componets. Mould is important process equipment used in producing all sorts of thin plastic products. Mould cost evaluation is a complex job aggregated technology, experience and market, and it also is one of the key factors relation to whether the mould company can receive the quotation to create profits. The thesis puts forward a new method of injection mould quoted price system based on the feature of injection products after deeply studying the key technics of the mould automatic design.Firstly, the thesis reviews the development, relevant work and application state of CAD/CAM injection mould design systems and discusses two key techniques: feature techniques and parametric techniques. Subsequently, the thesis establishes the system framework and its working flow and proposing key techniques of gainning the mould price: the features retrievement and features recognition of injection product model, the selection of mould base and the techniques to read the Access databases, how to read the files of features of plastic product, the study of injection mould cost evaluation system and the technique of databases interface, etc. It is detailedly studyed from both theoretical and practical viewpoint. Secondly, the thesis deeply discusses the key techniques used in software development, which includes the features retrievement and features recognition, graphics user interface development, program environmental setting of Visual C++, etc. In the studying of interface development, the paper detailedly relates the development of menu and dialogue, such as the syntax of dialogue resource file, the setting of dialogue componets, programming of dialogue. The thesis also detailedly relates the Pro/ TOOLKIT object and handle, features element tree and its track and its setting, the features' creation of window and menu.Finally, the thesis distills the solid model's manufacturing features and evaluates the mould price based on the information of design features and process features, manufacturing cost, man-hour in databases. Based on the above parting and Pro/TOOLKIT application development techniques, a system called '"Injection Mould Cost Evaluation System" is developed under Pro/E environment. The subject is energetically supported by South Plastics Company, which also offer lots of plastical products to my study. It can recognize and pick up the features of the model by the programme of Pro/TOOLKIT compiled by C++ language, then store the datas to appointed folder. Then run the programme, the system will give a value of the mould's price. The case on several common plastical products is given to illustrate the running of the system, put the result compare with the given price of mould company , it further demonstrates the feasibility and practicality of the cost evaluation system.
