Speed control and warehouse management system (WMS) are the most parts in automated warehouse. In this paper, speed control system and WMS based on RFID middleware and B/S multi-layer application system are investigated.Storage machine has three direction movement: flexion of fork, up-and-down of carrying cargo, and forward-and-backward of stacker. Lasting low speed control is used for fork, and two-speed motor is used for carrying cargo. But forward-and backward movement of stacker moves a long way, and needs timing with distance's changing in movement. PLC and transducer are used to realize the close loop of stacker.The warehouse manage system designed in this paper is based on RFID middleware and B/S multi-application system. A middle layer is constructed between the original Client/Server-side two-tier application system. Some common applications, such as communication functions, message delivery, business logic and data acquisition and so on, are abstracted in the middle layer. So the feature requests are lower for Client and Server side, especially for Client side which could be simple just as a browser. Every Client side interacts its middle client side only, then the middle client side connects and communicates database with bus, middle server side interacts database and equipment for business logic processing.The overall framework which contains logic framework, physics framework and client framework of warehouse management system is built. The overall framework is divided into three parts– client interface layer, business logic layer and data server layer. The business logic layer is divided into presentation layer, public server layer, business rules layer, entities data layer and data visit layer detailed.RFID middleware as middle layer designed in this paper is the core in warehouse management system and exists as a application platform. Communication connector, event manager and data server are the most important parts in RFID middleware.
