The Analysis Of The Reactions Of Internet Media To The Unexpected Events In 2008

With the development of society,the human society has come into a stage where unexpected events occur frequently,covering a wide range from nature to society.Our country has been perfecting its market economy system and transiting into urbanization, informatization and globalization.Hence,the society will be more vulnerable due to the destruction,embroilment and impact of the unexpected events,which propose more challenge to our government and society.As an important tool for news distribution,Internet media plays an inevitable role in disseminating the unexpected news.The responses of Internet media to the unexpected events worth further research.Our country has experienced storm disaster,Wen chuan Earthquake,3.14 riot in Tibet and Sanlu milk powder incident, which is a test for the overall power and capability of the media.Therefore,this paper will discuss the advantages and positive functions of the Internet media through the unexpected events of 2008.Meanwhile,it also reflects on the problems exposed and its causes,based on which improvement strategies are put forward.The paper includes five parts,analyzing the present statement and significance,the characteristic and principles,successful performance,existing problems and betterment strategy of the Internet media to the unexpected events respectively.According to the research,Internet media functions well to distribute the news effectively,collect the public opinions,and realize humanities and social service.Due to the restriction of policy, interference of the outer benefit groups,lack of professional morality and the special property of the Internet media,it is has become less sensitive to the unexpected events,and causes the decrease of report quality.The authority of media has been affected because the information distribution is nonstandard and people engaged in it pursue economic profit overly.Analyzing the problem,this thesis proposes two strategies from the perspective of government regulation and the media itself.On one hand,the government could open the policy properly,establish appropriate regulations and supervise the Internet information by technology means to compel the improvement of Internet media.On the other hand,the media worker could monitor the public opinions,make full use of resources,strength working morality and guild the public opinions positively,improving their responding ability.The research tries to analyze the performance and problems of the Internet media,and propose an effective strategy,so that the Internet media,which is an influential burgeoning one,functions effectively to the unexpected events and contributes more to the society.
