Research On Information Literacy Promotion For Undergraduate In Our Country

With the transformation from industrial society to information society, examination-oriented education to education for all-around development and lifelong learning idea emerges, more attention have being paid on the information literacy. As the vital force to construct our nation in the future, it's important to promote information literacy of undergraduate for country, university and undergraduate themselves, it will earn more attention widely, and more research will be done on it. As the extending of traditional literacy in information age, the information literacy is the compound quality which individuals possess in the information activities, its content contains the information idea, the information knowledge, information skill and the information morals. There is information literacy standard for undergraduate, and according to the different learning phase it can be divided into three step-up levels, namely the basic information literacy, the specialized information literacy, the practice and the innovation information literacy.Having learned the related literature's research both domestic and foreign, this article discovered that elementary theories of the information literacy for undergraduate haven't earned agreement in the domestic academe, and the vision to discover the measures to raise the information literacy for undergraduate is somehow narrower. Following the investigation others did and the information crime case, some problems exist, certain undergraduates have not been able to put the correct information idea to practice well; be short of the information knowledge generally; Information skill was still in the low level; offense against information morals exist. The reasons of these problems come from the society, the university and the undergraduate. This paper finds measures to solve the problems on the information literacy of undergraduate in our country according to the problems exist, measures should be taken by social, university and the undergraduate three aspects, the aim is to promote information literacy level of undergraduate in our country, to promote all-around development education for high education in our country and education informationization procession, and promote the construction of innovation country and the study society.
