Study And Realization Of Product Data Management Of Medium-sized And Pint-size Manufactory

PDM(Product Data Management) is a kind of technology of managing product data and its process, it becomes one of the most important application software technology in present enterprise informatization. PDM is based on network and database, integrating all product information distributed in every part of enterprise and every application software system. It shares product information with every part of enterprise, gives a powerful support for cooperative work in enterprise, shorten the design cycle of products, strengthens the research and management of enterprise. For the past few years, PDM and its related products have shown more fast development status.Based on a country 863 task in the field of advanced manufacture and automatization technology , the realization and application of the product data management information system based on the CAD, whose serial number is 2003AA411023, this paper makes an analyse on the PDM needs of medium and small-sized enterprises and the deficiency of the PDM, researches on product configuration management and product BOM management, presents a solution method and framework system of PDM oriented to medium and small-sized enterprises, solutes some common problems in multi-kind and small amount environment, such as quick products configuration, knowledge sharing, information integration, and so on, it promotes the management of enterprise and strengthens competitiveness.At the base of theory research on the project, authors make a prototype system of PDM, and select the machine tool building industry having complicated PDM to practise, have developed the PDM having many fuctions included that product structure management, version management, product configuration management, product BOM management, coding management, system management. Now the PDM model has been put into use in the limited company ZhuJi KaiDa machine tool group in the province of ZheJiang, the result of application proves that the system can be operated expediently and credibly, and can greatly improve the efficiency of product data management.
