Pdm Generic Product Configuration Management Model To Achieve

As the result of increasing market competition and rapid change of customer's requirements, manufacturing enterprises, especially those which develop and product large and complex products, promote new requirements against product structure definition and configuration management. Practically product structure definition and configuration management under PDM architecture is one absolutely necessary core function of enterprise e-manufacturing supporting platform.The product data management (the Product Data Management, PDM) technique which appeared in the early 1980's can effectively solve the data circulate among business enterprise information management section, product-making section and designing manufacture section. PDM technique carries out the data share, shortens the product-making cycle and guarantees the exclusiveness of product data. But the present systematic theories are too strong and the ability of adapting distribution is very weak.Based on the above problems and the requirement of modem enterprises for improving the production structure, the thesis puts forward a technique facing to the product structure, and installment management according to the software technique and carries out the management to the product structure and installment management are discussed in the thesis. Also the general feasibility of them is researched. Based on this type of model, the product structure tree, the BOM form, and the defeats of the study are additionally explored in the thesis.
