Research And Development Of Design Process-Oriented Product Data Management System

With the implementation of Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Process Planning and Computer Aided Manufacturing in most domestic manufacturing enterprises, product efficiency has been greatly improved. But for the lack of appropriate management means on product data, the integrity and safety of product data can not be guaranteed, and communication of product information is handicapped, so the information of systems can't be transferred and exchanged automatically. To solve these problems, research on Product Data Management(PDM) system is done, a PDM system developed at the same time.This thesis introduces the situation and problems of manufacturing enterprises, expounds background and function of PDM technology, analyzes situation and trend of PDM system, and proposes the architecture of PDM system. Then, product structure management , System integration and workflow management is researched in detail.Firstly, based on the product structure tree, the product data model was presented after analyzing function of the product structure management in manufacture. This model is convenient to organizing and managing the product data in PDM system. The product configure management is introducing to solve the BOM of the product structure.Secondly, according to the fact that static data of product and dynamic data used for design process is not unrelated, and they are the different expression, a kind of workflow management model facing product structure is presented. In term of putting product structure as kernel, this model make the workflow management and product structure management together to realize the effective management of product design process by task driving.Finally, a summary of the works involved in the article is given, and the disadvantages of the thesis and are also presented, which form the objectives for the future research and works.
