The BOM data and vehicle product structure are the core business date in theautomobile company. As the fundamental data of enterprise informationization, theaccuracy of the BOM management is the key to the enterprise logistics andprocurement. The BOM exists all the product lifecycle, and in the company almost alldepartments,such as engineering, process planning,manufacturing,ordering,sales,finance and after sales need BOM, which is the bridge between differentdepartments. There’s no unified criterion of BOM management in domesticAutomobile Company. The management of BOMs has a great effect on businessactivities around BOM.The thesis targets on research and development of “Whole product lifecycleBOM management system†in the domestic own brand automobile enterprise.Base onthe analysis on the three most important BOMs:Engineering BOM, Product BOM,Service BOM, this paper puts forward the BOM management method, deep researchon the feasibility of system implement, design and develop the related system, Themain content includes:Combining the automobile industry product character and the status of BOMmanagement, research and investigate the theory of BOM management and thelogistical BOM management system practice in the domestic and abroad company.Through the analysis and research on the different type BOMS and problem inautomobile enterprise, this paper builds up an whole product lifecycle BOMmanagement method oriented to the automobile enterprises.Deeply research and analyze the product structure and configuration managementin AUTO company, and raise the method of the configurable BOM, with centralizedmanagement process, put forward the solution of BOM management base on singlesource of production data.Through the detailed USE CASE, the business process and data model ofengineering BOMã€production BOMã€service BOM were given. Design and develop the whole product lifecycle BOM manage system. Thesystem has resolved the existing problems of the BOM management respectively foran automobile enterprise.
