Over half a century and more, the development and application of digitalinformation processing technology caused deep changes in human communicationfield. Among this process, the publishing communication field also took placerevolutionary change unavoidably. Digital technology has not only changed the formof publishing media and the publication content, but also impacted on the method, theindustrial structure and even the idea of publishing. Digital technology has broughtnot only uncommon impetus and opportunity, but also great challenge to publishingdevelopment.Under such background, it is urgent to study the rules of the publishing changesin digital environment, and make strategies accordingly. Based on this understanding,this thesis begins with the introduction of the changes that digital technology broughtin the mass communication field. Then, the thesis reviews the changes which digitaltechnology brought for the traditional printing and publishing area firstly. Secondly,the thesis investigates the development process of digital publishing method. Thisinvestigation clears up the change process of publishing communication under thedigital condition, and indicates the developing trend in the future. Then, based ondiscussing the characteristic of digital publishing technology, the thesis analyses theinfluence that digital publishing technology brought in publishing industry by threeaspects. Finally, based on the first two part, the thesis provides author's own view onhow the publishers to deal with the digitalization changes and choose the developmentstrategies.The thesis reviews and analyzes the publishing communication as a wholesystem. From this way, the understanding about digital changes in publishing isintegrated. Another point of this thesis lies in the advices which focused on the wholepublishing industry but not some certain publishing method, which can avoid narrowunderstanding and incomprehensive strategies. The viewpoints in this thesis havecertain theoretical value. The analysis and suggestion in this thesis will also benefitthe publishing practice in the future.
