With China's accession to the WTO and the continuous reforming and opening policy,Chinese Journalism reform has also been promoted. With the executive power's graduallywithdrawal from the press operation and the severe marketing competition, the press is facingunprecedented pressure. Due to long-term influence of the authorized system, the internalmanagement system of the press is rigid, which makes the gap between the modern medialarger. How to establish a modern enterprise management system rapidly is important for thepresses. Media competition is the competition of talents and human resources, and also thedriving force for the development of the press. Compared to print content and themanagement of funds, the human resources management is seriously out of date. The currentcompensation system has so many disadvantages, and it has become a trammel for the pressindustry.The article analyzes the current compensation system status ,and investigates somecompensation system problems. From economics, psychology and management field, thearticle analyzes that it is necessary to clear the design principles of the compensation systemfirst, and pay attention to the effectiveness evaluation criteria of the system. For instance:reform of the current single salary system;establish a pluralistic system of remuneration;uphold their performance-based pay system, has a different pay system to the staff (forexample, the journalists' performance pay system, the annual salary system and the pressmister equity system, distribution, advertising personnel base commission bonus system, etc.) .In the reform of the compensation system, we should pay more attention to the other relativelinks (the employment mechanism reforming;the performance appraisal mechanismsimproving;science–oriented performance evaluation system's establishing;all involved staffpayment system designing).
