In June of 2009, the reform of performance wage of Shaanxi institutions was startde. The museum B is an autarky institution and it has been a name card all around the world gaining a large number of reputation.This paper focuses on this autarky institution as the research object,based on numerous literature,fair theory,expection theory and goal-setting theory Combing with practical experience, the implementation effect of the performance wage of B museum was investigated by the methods of questionnaire survey and in-depth interview. Intergrating the evaluation system and research situation, it comes to a conclusion of the performance wage effect is that is not a imagining outcome. The author analysed the main problems which are stronge lack of performance decision power, unscientific performance proposal, the assesments only exist in the form without expected effect, the employees have a poor cognition of merit pay reform and merit pay increased with an imperfect system. In view of the above points, we've provided serval countermeasures to complete the museum B. Firstly, correcting the misconceptions of employees. The second one is that employees at all levels must managed by a develop management method. Moreover, establish blameless increasing and management of merit pay system. In addition, take advantage of the performance evaluation's outcome. All the measure does well in provide an example for other independent public institutions.
