Safety, it is an important subject of a relationship and the people's livelihood, the party and country always attaches great importance to enterprise's safety production and safety production is the social civilization and progress, is an important symbol of national economy of the stable operation of the important guarantee. However, as our country main energy underground coal mining 95%, its homework assignments is extremely complex, environmental safety production in coal mine, because the form very serious mining accidents loss also extremely heavy.Gas explosion is one of the main reasons which caused damage in Coal mine. In the mine safety, the gas density is a very important indicators, so we must get the environmental information of gas concentration as well as the temperate and humidity timely in order to guarantee the safety of mine work environment.At present, most of the mine safety monitoring system mainly are using cable way data transmission, There are three shortcomings: firstly, this way is more tedious, for circuit wiring the dependency is stronger, installation and maintenance equipment cost more, once the coal mine accidents, equipment and cable tend not to damage after mine disaster occurred equipment and cable tend not to damage the ore difficult work after the occurrence of a valuable provide valuable information; secondly, There are a number of monitoring blind Angle,because of the mining excavation and structure change of coal mine and the space of tunnels becomes more and more narrow, extensions and maintaining of cable line become more difficult;thirdly, it is only pay attention to the gas concentration and temperature and humidity natural disasters factors of the current values and ignored its related monitoring changes to result in greater monitoring for the loophole. Therefore, new Technology must be apply to in traditional coal mine monitoring system.Therefore, this paper established the Mine Safety Monitoring System based on XBee-PRO and ZigBee. This paper mainly introduces the new wireless communication network system of monitoring gas concentration and temperature/humidity and hardware and software design and realization of Network node. Hardware design includes portable mobile terminal node, router and coordinator. Portable mobile terminal nodes design include gas sensor circuit, temperature/humidity sensor circuit, alarm circuit, the power supply and circuit design;Basically the same the router circuit design and terminal node design, so the router circuit design need to retain the gas sensor module, other wireless sensor node and other core circuit of terminal node;Coordinator circuit design mainly includes RS232 industrial bus circuit design and external interface design.The software design including the collection of gas concentration,temperature, and communication between nodes. In addition, this paper realize the design of wireless communication network based on IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee standards. At the same time, test the wireless sensor networks analyse the experiment data.The Design realize the collection and transmission of a coal mine gas concentration,temperature and humidity and other environmental information, complete the design application of a wireless sensor network in the coal mine safety on XBee-PRO and ZigBee technology, reach the purpose of environmental monitoring, with innovative and practical, for the further application of wireless sensor networks in industrial production.
